I haven't posted in several weeks so here's a little update:
Sam had an allergic reaction to the amoxycilin that we gave him for his month long "cold."
I mentioned last post that I'd finished Sam's blocks for his room. Cute, huh? Thanks to Laura who was the mastermind of it all! Sam's walls had been bare for WAY too long. Laura and I are having another craft party this weekend and I hope for similar successes.
The weekend before that we spent much of our Saturday working on our 72 hr kits. It felt good to get those mostly done. Caleb also bought a gun (22) recently after spending a lot of time looking for a good deal. I don't know that he'll use it too much but maybe for an occasional hunting trip and then it's always nice to have on hand for self-reliance purposes.
Last Monday we went to the Idaho Falls temple visitor's center and toured the exhibit that's there right now. It's a beautiful photography exhibit showing different events in the Savior's life. Then last night we went over to the Steward's house for a lesson and games, but we never got to the games part. We had fun visiting though. Two Mondays ago we had FHE at the Gallant's house along with the Hills. We have a lot of fun people in our ward.
Caleb's been planning a "Preparing for Your Mission" fireside for the Young Men and their parents. They've been filming the boys as they answer questions about the gospel and bear their testimonies. Hopefully the fireside will help to spark a desire in some of them to serve and to start preparing.
I dropped my phone in a cup of water if you can believe so I was phoneless for a bit. Brittany Steward let me borrow an old one of hers which was really nice. The worst part is that I lost all my contacts! I don't memorize numbers anymore and unfortunately didn't have my contacts backed up. I won't make that mistake again.
Sam turned 10 months old on the 24th! I can't believe he'll soon be a year. He can cruise up the stairs now which is fun to watch. He's fairly cautious and doesn't do anything that he doesn't feel pretty sure about which is kind of nice as a parent. Here's what else he's been up to lately...
