BLESSINGS

Caleb got accepted to the MBA program at BYU for this fall!!! We are so excited. Provo here we come! Well, most likely. Unless something unexpected happens in the next few months, like an incredible job offer that Caleb just can't pass up. We feel so blessed that this has all fallen into place. August is going to come SO quickly!
Also we (okay I) were starting to stress about getting unit A rented out, b/c unit C just told us they need to move end of February. So we reposted our ad and really prayed Thursday night. Friday morning at the exercise group I got a call from a girl that sounded great, and long story short, her parents who live in town brought us cinnamon rolls on Sunday and they're moving in this weekend (it's a couple and their daughter who's Sam's age)! Another answer to prayers.
I had an appointment today and I was measuring 4 cm small so we did an ultrasound to make sure the baby was doing well. She looks great, weighs 5 lbs. 4 oz. (20th percentile). A little small but nothing to worry about. Another great blessing. Hopefully she chunks up a lot in the next few weeks. It was nice to confirm that she IS a girl!
Caleb and I finished Fire in the Bones a few weeks ago (about William Tyndale) and loved it and were very inspired by it. It was fun reading a book together again too. We're trying to decide what to read together next. I might have to read on my own though until the Presidential election is over. Caleb really likes keeping up on all the debates and articles so lately that's where most of his spare reading time is spent. :)
I haven't been taking pics the last couple weeks. We video Sam quite a bit but that's about it. We spend most our time playing with legos, playing basketball/soccer, taking walks/drives looking for basketball hoops (it's still SO unusually warm here! well, for Idaho Falls in February), reading books, singing songs, etc. So not much has changed in the last few weeks on that front. :) I love it and am trying to not wish the next 4 weeks to fly by but to just enjoy every minute with my cute Sammers.
Last Monday for our FHE activity we went to the city pool and had a lot of fun although it was a little chilly if you stopped moving around. All Sam wanted to do was shoot his ball in the basketball hoop they had there and watch people jump off the really tall diving board. Caleb jumped off it for him and that's all Sam would talk about for the next few days. "Daddy jumped the diving board!" We'll definitely be going back. And Monday nights are great b/c it's half price!
Sam loves to sing and be sung to and he memorizes songs very quickly. He can sing almost completely by himself "I Am a Child of God", "The Itsy Bitsy Spider", "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star", "I'm Trying to be like Jesus", and the chorus of "Nephi's Courage." Last night for Family Night we learned about what it means to "obey" and did some role modeling to help him understand. Then today I said, "Samuel, you need to obey." He then did what I'd asked him to do and said, "Commanded!" I guess he made the connection between obey and commanded from the Nephi's Courage song. :) He has become pretty independent as of late. He's always saying "I'll do it" or "I'll eat it" or "I'll get it." Good timing... hopefully he'll be as eager to "do" and "get" on his own when his little sister is here!

Congrats on getting into BYU's MBA program! How exciting!

I can't believe Sam knows all those songs. What a smartie! Luke loves doing actions to "The Wise Man & The Foolish Man" and "Book of Mormon Stories" but he has yet to sing along :). Hope we get to hang out this summer!
