CATCH UP!

Once I realized that 2 months had gone by without me posting a single update, it was really intimidating to try to recap everything! But thanks to some encouragement from a couple of my 6 readers haha I'm finally back. Here's a very BRIEF monthly review of our last 6 months:

November 2012: We moved to Provo! We miss some things about Elk Ridge but we LOVE living close to BYU and to so many other young families. We drove to Salt Lake to see the lights on temple square (in the rain!).
We enjoyed Thanksgiving in Elk Ridge with the Baker family.

December 2012: We went sledding (Sam's first time ever) at Rock Canyon park with the Lewis' and Johnstons.

Caleb finished the semester strong and we headed to Grandma and Granpda Andersen's house in Texas for Christmas! We stopped at Amy and Scott's on the way and at Esther's in Arkansas and Hazel's in Missouri on the way back. We all got really sick but it was still a great vacation and so fun to be with everyone.

January 2013: Samuel started taking pictures with our camera. I have 100s of pictures that prove his artistic abilities! Can't remember anything else cool right now.
February 2013: Caleb and I got dressed up and went to the MBA stacherades ball. Jeff and Kerri were kind enough to watch our kids!
March 2013: Our little Eliza turned 1 on March 4th!! This is about as creative as I get... E for Eliza!

Caleb was awarded the Eccles scholarship! SO proud of him.
Grandma and Grandpa Baker received their mission call to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They leave in just a few weeks for 18 months!

Kids and Caleb went on a little hike up to a cave while I was gone at an overnighter with the MBA spouses. We hiked it again the following weekend. We're loving the warmer weather!!
We have enjoyed several BYU basketball and volleyball games since we moved here as well. I think it's the coolest thing in the world that we can WALK to them from our own apartment!!

Here's a little about each of us:
ELIZA is our sweet and sensitive yet strong willed and stubborn little Princess (I think she gets all those qualities minus the Princess part from her Dad!:) ). She is saying more words and loves to blabber. She loves to eat, and can feed herself with a spoon/fork pretty well. She is walking around the house now but still falls a lot. She loves to do everything her brother does! She even likes to drive cars/motorcycles like he does ("vroom vroom" and all!). She can be difficult at times, but as long as she eats about every hour she's usually pretty happy! She has 8 cute teeth. My favorite face she makes is when she scrunches her nose up (we call it her Millie face b/c it looks just like the face Millie makes!). She does it when she's happy but also when she's crying mildly. I'm yet to get a picture of it.
SAMUEL has had a rough couple weeks. He dove off his foot board into his headboard and got the biggest goose egg I've ever seen. It was huge and scary! After a couple days the swelling went down and then it got pretty colorful. It's still there but is fading. Tuesday night he threw up at midnight and then every half hour until 4, then every couple hours. We took him to the doctor this evening because he still couldn't keep anything down. He threw up a few times today and has real bad diarrhea. He just sits on the couch all day and wants to be carried even to the bathroom. The poor boy is just so weak. It's been 48 hours now so we're really hoping we're over the worst of it, and that Eliza doesn't get it. It'll make him stronger for sure!! He is usually kinder and gentler when he's sick which is sweet. His favorite thing to tell people is that his birthday is on April 24th and then he'll be 3, but right now he's still just 2. His current obsessions are knives and the 6 hot wheels motorcycles that are on the packaging of one motorcycle he got.

Both of the kids love random visits from Uncle Jeff and Aunt Kerri!
I've really enjoyed playing intramural basketball this semester. Our team has won 2 games in the tournament so we hope to keep winning! My knee hasn't been bothering me at all which is a huge blessing. I go and play a couple mornings a week besides our once a week evening game. I've enjoyed going to the temple almost every week, bright and early. Figure I should take advantage while we live 1 minute away! I go to lots of spouses activities in the evenings.
CALEB is focusing hard on his classes and doing well in them. He played intramural basketball too on a team with Jeff and had fun doing that. He is so good to always watch the kids while I go to activities and things.

We're getting excited for our summer in New Jersey -- trying to find a place to live while we're there.
Okay this is long enough! Life is good for the Bakers. :) Til next time.
