Weekend 5 - Tennis, Crayola, Samoan Sunday

It was nice to stay closer to home for the weekend after being gone all week in Boston. Saturday (6/29) morning we played Tennis here at the AVE (our apartment complex). That was the first time we'd played since being in New Jersey and it was really fun. The kids just played together in the grass right outside the courts and were so good. I love that they play together so well!!! Then we showered and headed out to Easton, PA to visit the Crayola factory. It was fun and there were a lot of cool things to do but we realized that those things are sometimes more for the parents than the kids! Our kids would be perfectly happy just coloring with Crayola crayons at home as long as we were doing it with them! Those places do force us to spend a straight 3-4 hours completely focused on our kids, which is good, but definitely could be done anywhere, for free. I'm sure that has a lot to do with the ages of our kids too. But anyway it was fun.

Sunday evening three of the missionaries Caleb taught in the MTC came over with their wives. They're all selling pest control out here for the summer and they live just 30 minutes from us. It was so much fun. They're all just awesome people. It felt like spending an evening with cousins! We did taco salad with cafe rio dressing that turned out really good and they brought a couple Samoan dishes which were fun to try. It's so cool to see how much these guys love and respect Caleb.
Caleb and Samuel have been going out to catch fire flies almost every night. It's the highlight of Sam's day for sure! It's nice that they fly slow enough that he can catch them on his own. I really like looking out the window and seeing the fire flies. It's like mild fireworks every night! :)
