Final days in NJ

Caleb's final internship presentation was on Wednesday 8/7 so he was really busy the couple weeks leading up to that. The presentation is pretty intense because you present to a bunch of high up people at Janssen and they decide whether or not to give you a full-time offer pretty much solely based on your presentation. We should find out beginning to mid September if he got an offer. There were 11 interns in his group, all very smart and qualified for a job, and they'll probably give 5 or 6 offers so it's pretty competitive.
Here's a few more pics from our last week in New Jersey! Sad to end this fun summer but looking forward to another year of school in Provo.
Samuel learned to swim this summer!! About half way through the summer he started swimming without his floaties but the last two weeks is when he really got it. He could keep his head above water while he swam or go down and come up for air and everything. Neat to see him work and something and be so excited when he accomplishes it!
Eliza at 17 months! She likes to wear Sam's backpack around the house. "BA PA! BA PA!"
Samuel loves to help me in the kitchen and I love the help!
It was raining really hard outside one day so we hurried and made some boats our of aluminum foil and went and raced them in the little ditch behind our apartment building. You know the one we always play in. The boats were cruising! It was so fun. Sam and I were both laughing so hard chasing the boats as they raced down the raging river. Eliza had fun too. Then I heard thunder and realized we were out in the middle of a field carrying around metal! I felt so dumb that I hadn't thought of the danger of aluminum foil boats in a rainstorm. I panicked for a few seconds and we RAN inside. We won't be doing that again but it was sure fun while it lasted!

We got a couple coconuts (I never knew you could buy them whole from the grocery store) and Caleb showed us the soft spot in the coconut where you can poke a hole and put a straw in and drink the coconut milk!

On our last Sunday we got together again with the guys Caleb taught in the MTC and their wives. They've almost convinced us to go to Samoa in December!
