Since I've been slacking on my weekly family journal entry I'll just give some of the recent highlights...
- Hazel and her kids stopped at our house and stayed the night (Hazel taught us how to make our oatmeal taste SO much better, and she surprised me with containers to organize my pantry with which I've been wanting forever!)
- Matthew and Staci's wedding in Logan. All of Caleb's siblings were there except for Anna.
- Carp fishing with Josh, Ammon, and James AND Sam! He rode on one of our backs in a backpack and did pretty well for a couple hours.
- Finished preparing Unit D for Shelley, our new renter.
- Spraying/mowing our yard (and watching the grass grow and the weeds die... Caleb :))
- Laura came and stayed with us Friday night... we watched Flushed Away.
- Since Laura was here we got to go running together Saturday morning. We went 4 miles, the longest we've gone since Sam was born! Sad, but true. Our "dam" 10K :) is in just 3 short weeks.
- Caleb finished helping build a shed for a lady in the ward whose husband is deployed. I wanted to complain when he was gone the second Saturday in a row, but then I thought of Steph and felt like if I could help others here then others would help Steph! (Andrew left last week for 4 months)
- Sam is so fun to watch outside. A couple days ago he discovered puddles and was splashing around and having a great time. He LOVES birds and goes "oh" and points at every one that flies by. He also loves rocks. He's discovered ants and ladybugs in the last couple weeks too. Everything is new to him and it's so dang fun to watch.
That's all I can think of for now. Sam and I are going to Steph's house tomorrow so I've got lots to do before then! Caleb and I are thinking a lot about our future and it's been fun to think about our options and what we want to do with our lives. Anyway, more updates to come there hopefully, eventually. Adios!
