Melaleuca celebrations

I wrote this post a couple weeks ago but was having computer issues...
The Stewards watched Sam for us Tuesday night while we went to a Melaleuca dinner for all the DC (distribution center) employees. The DC was accident free for over a year so they got a Texas Roadhouse catered dinner. Yum.

Then yesterday was the annual Melaleuca picnic. Sam and I were gone last year for it so I never knew what a production it really is. It was like a huge fair/carnival. The food was catered by Texas Roadhouse again, there were activities, rides, blow up toys everywhere for kids, free treats and drinks of all kinds, I mean this thing was huge. Sam got to ride a horse and Caleb showed off his wood chopping skills by beating all these huge guys in the hammer competition. We had lots of fun and I ate too many snow cones and too much popcorn! That's what happens when it's all free! We also loved going to the Thai Restaurant in Rexburg that Laura works at this week. It was delicious and the service was amazing! ;) We could've used bigger portions but besides that it was great.

We've done lots more garage sale-ing and continue to have great success!! We found lots more clothes for Sam and even bought him one of those ball popper toys for $1. You know the one you push around and it goes "pop pop pop." It's one of those classic toys that every child should have. Sam loves it and it's not even as annoying as I thought it might be. :) Brings back fun childhood memories for me.
