Happy Holidays

This is turning into a monthly blog update rather than weekly like I'd planned. I'll do better. Time seems to be flying by! I'm now 27 1/2 weeks pregnant and I think the next 12 1/2 weeks are going to keep flying by. The Westons came and stayed with us for a few days before Thanksgiving and it was so fun to have them and to watch Sam and Tyler together. They became good buddies. Then we made our first road trip in our new van to Utah for Thanksgiving. Sam isn't too into movies yet so the DVD player didn't make that big of a difference but it was SO nice having the extra space. We spent Thanksgiving with the Bakers. Caleb's parents just bought a new house in Elk Ridge, near Payson, so that's where everyone gathered for Thanksgiving and that's where we stayed. It is beautiful there and the weather was perfect. We played kickball outside in t-shirts!! 6 of the 11 siblings were there on Thanksgiving and we had lots of fun. Sam was very clingy to us and would immediately come after us if one of us left the room he was playing in. By the end he was getting a little more comfortable but of course that always happens right when it's time to leave. We went shopping for a few hours on black Friday but didn't go out until about 10 and we only bought a few shirts so it wasn't too big of a success. I just think it's fun to be part of the craziness and Caleb was awesome to go along.
I've been sewing more than usual which has been fun but I still have a lot to get done before Christmas! We're actually sending out Christmas cards this year too. We just got our pics taken this afternoon and I think they turned out really cute. Sam was freezing so not sure we'll get many smiles but he looks cute with a straight face too. :) Tonight is also the Melaleuca Christmas party. I'm excited mostly just because it's a good excuse to get a babysitter and go on a date!
This week Sam and I started going to the church to do a workout video with some other ladies. It's perfect because the kids can run around the gym and entertain each other while we work out! And it's free. :) Plus it's much more fun AND motivating to work out with other people. It's MWF at 8:20 am.
Sam has enjoyed playing with Emily and Mitch this week. Especially Mitch. They get along so well and Sam loves having him over. We got Sam a snow suit at a garage sale this summer and it's the best dollar I've spent in a while! He loves going out in the snow (and eating it!) and he looks so dang cute in his little snow suit and snow boots. We've only had one good snow but it stuck pretty good so I'm expecting to have snow/ice on the ground until May!
Sam got pink eye last week for the first time. It wasn't too bad but was just goopy and slightly red underneath. We took him in and got some eye drops and by the 5th day of those it was looking much better. Besides that we've all been healthy which is such a blessing.
One last pic of Sam... he loves wearing his hat and snow boots around the house. :) And it's really not because our house is too cold!
