October update

We are doing well here in Elk Ridge! Fall has set in. It still gets pretty hot most days but when the sun goes down it gets pretty chilly. I love this time of year. For a couple weeks we were surrounded by the brightest fall leaves I've ever seen! It was beautiful.
Caleb is in Orlando right now at the NSHMBA conference (a big career fair). We went on our honeymoon to Orlando so I really wish I could be there with him!! The pressure is building to find a good internship and hopefully he'll get some good leads from this conference. We went and got him a new suit and new white shirts this week and he sure looks spiffy! He is loving the MBA program and is working really hard and doing well. I love it too. I feel like we are so so blessed to be here.
MBASA (MBA spouses association) has lots of fun activities every week and although we live far away I try to go to one or two a week and it's always so fun. Last week we had a NAC luncheon and we got to listen to Virginia H. Pearce speak. I'm so glad we chose to come to BYU because of the unique opportunities like that that we wouldn't get anywhere else. I learned from her to THINK BIG and that's like my motto now. I can get so consumed in day to day tasks that I let that be my life. But not anymore! I'm thinking BIG.
My knee has really been bothering me the last week and a half. I went from running 2-3 times a week to 6 times a week and I guess with my post pregnancy nursing body couldn't handle it as well as it used to! I either tore my meniscus a bit or my IT band is inflamed. I'm icing it a couple times a day and trying to stay off it as much as a mother of two active little ones can and hoping I won't be stuck with knee problems for the rest of my life.
SAMUEL is still working outside lots with Grandma Baker which he loves. He's now a champ at riding his trike around here on the hilly roads. He does his school work every day which he really enjoys and he knows all his letters. Almost everyday he tells me when he's ready to take a nap. He loves to be chased and tickled. Whenever he says or does something silly he'll say, "You wanna' come tickle me about that??" He really likes holding Eliza lately. Although Caleb doesn't get to see him much during the week the time they do get to spend together is Sam's favorite!
ELIZA is 7 months old today! She crawls around everywhere but she still doesn't sit up too well on her own. She got her first tooth a couple weeks ago and her second one is barely poking through today. Ever since 6 months she is a REALLY good baby! I just lie her down when she seems tired and she goes to sleep without crying, she sleeps well, she's really good on long car rides (mostly b/c she can see Sam and he entertains her the whole time!), she'll take her paci now when I need her to be quiet (i.e. church), and she's perfectly happy to play on the floor for long periods of time. Life is good. :)

My Mom came into town a couple weeks ago for Blake and Halley's baptism. It was so fun to have her here and so great to be at the baptism. Halley is so good with Sam so he especially loves her. Sunday my Mom watched the kids while Caleb and I went to the Brigham City temple dedication which was great.

The two paci lovers. I put them down for a nap and came in a few min later to find this!!
We've gone to 2 BYU football games with the kids. We only last through the third quarter but it sure is fun while it lasts. It's fun to see Uncle Jeff out there doing pushups when we score. :) The first game we went to Sam would cheer "ra ra ra, GOOO COUGARS!" when everyone else was silent. It was pretty cute. I think he caught on for the second game. He wants to be a BYU football player for Halloween.
Eliza's favorite thing to chew on is a piece of celery.
 Go Cougars!!
