Tom and Laura's Wedding - August 14th

We are SO SO happy for this happy couple! The kids love UNCLE TOM. It's been fun to get to know him as they've dated and we're sincerely so happy to have him join our family. Tom and Laura are perfect for each other. Their wedding dinner was the evening of Tuesday the 13th and my favorite part was hearing T&L since Marriage Lullaby! It was beautiful. Samuel had to keep his tradition going and got on the microphone and sang after the dinner. He sang all 3 verses to Battle Hymn of the Republic, his favorite song, and his second favorite, Follow the Prophet. :) The wedding was the next day at 1 pm, then the reception was that night. It was fun to get to know Tom's great family and to see so many extended family members. Everything turned out beautifully and just how Laura wanted! Although the best part of a wedding is that we all get to spend a few days together. It's always busy but it still just fills my soul to be with family!

Apparently I don't have any pictures of the bride and groom on the wedding day because I was using our camera to film. But they looked great and the sealing was wonderful.

And now for THE TRUTH ABOUT FAMILY PICTURES:

The reception was in Lake Point (where Tom grew up) in this awesome country style backyard and it was PERFECT for the kids. They had so much fun.

The day after the wedding we checked out of the Draper house, then went to decide on which apartment we'd move into, then later that afternoon we met up with the Westons and Webbs at Bridal Veil falls.

There were a couple close calls on the long board but the kids loved it!

Love the similar scowls on Kelsey and Eliza's faces :)
