Eliza

Eliza Baker was born Sunday, March 4th, 2012 at 8:38 am. She weighed 6 lbs. 7 oz. and was 20 inches long. She has dark hair just like Samuel did. (A more detailed birth story to come!)My Mom flew in Sunday night and spent the week with us, taking care of Sam, cooking, cleaning, and being super Grandma all the way around. My Dad and Sarah drove up from Houston and got here Saturday evening. They all left Sunday morning at 5 am to drive to Utah for Millie Mae's blessing. It was so fun to see Sam interact with them. We're always so amazed at the sacrifices my parents eagerly make to see their kids and grand kids. We were so bummed... Sam was already in bed when we remembered to take a picture. Caleb stayed home from work yesterday and today and will probably work a half day tomorrow. It has been so fun having him home. There is an extra special spirit in our home that I'm sure Eliza brought with her that we can all feel. Earlier today I thought of the primary song that starts out "When our family gets together after evening work is done" or something like that. The last line of the song says "And it seems that nothing in the world could possibly go wrong." That's how I feel. We feel so blessed and feel so much love in our home. I walked downstairs after thinking about that song and Caleb and Sam were washing dishes. Caleb was washing, Sam was rinsing. Sam really was helping! Caleb said, "Does it get much better than this?" I don't think it does.
