We have had such a fun weekend with the Washenkos! The funnest in a long time I think. We LOVED having them here. Little William is so cute and such a good baby. Caleb and Steve get along really well and of course Shirley and I have always got along great so it's just really fun. Yesterday we took them to see the falls by the temple and we walked over to a farmer's market too and got a delicious wienershnitzel from a German guy. Yum. Then we went to Reed's Dairy, our very favorite ice cream place. They thought it was great ice cream too so I was glad to know it's not just us. ALMOST as good as blue bell! We also got a half gallon of their milk which was amazingly good. Tastes a little different when it's so fresh. Then we went to Buffalon Wild Wings to watch the BYU - Ole Miss football game. BYU won 14-13. It was great. I went and picked up Laura during the most exciting part of the game but was glad we'd pulled ahead when I got back. Laura came in on the shuttle and will be here til Tuesday. Sam loves his Aunt Laura. He's had a pretty rough weekend. We thought he was getting sick but I think his molars that are still coming in were bothering him so much that it was causing a runny nose, fever, and he obviously didn't feel well at all. He wasn't himself. But I think we're over the worst of it. Anyway Shirley, Steve, and William left for Orem this afternoon. It was perfect. Caleb had work off tomorrow for Labor Day so we're excited to go do a fun hike or something.
Last weekend we went camping with the Southwicks (a couple in the ward) up at Heise and had lots of fun. There's nothing like falling asleep looking at the sky full of stars. Sam loved it too, although since Kalli is really scared of bees Sam learned to scream when a bug comes around. It's hilarious. It's all high pitched and everything just like Kalli's. :)
Half way through the week it all of a sudden felt like fall outside. You could just feel it in the air. The temperature's been lower but it's so nice to open the windows and have the cool breeze come in. We LOVE Idaho summers. And we're going to try and focus on that throughout the long winter! Here's a few pics from our camping trip.
